Industry Green Award for Wood

Julie’s Bicycle, the not-for-profit organisation working with the creative industries to support environmental sustainability, has announced the award of their prestigious Industry Green (IG) certificates to fourteen UK music festivals. The IG certification scheme recognises evidenced commitment to understanding, measuring, improving and communicating environmental initiatives with an emphasis on lowering carbon emissions year on year. Eliza Carthy

ELIZA CARTHY The final, Sunday night will see the Wood stage graced with the presence of British Folk Award-winning singer Eliza Carthy and her band. Thea Gilmore

Cycle to Wood

With the event running on renewable energy, the sensible option seems to be to arrive under your own steam, and cycle. Every year WOOD festival runs a cycle to wood campaign in partnership with The Oxford Cycle Workshop. WOOD isn’t about just standing around and watching bands; WOOD is also about trying new things, learning new skills, getting involved and learning something.
